CrypKey DLM Protects Oil and Gas Industry Intellectual Property

Like many fields, the oil and gas industry uses many Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. The intellectual property contained in these documents is often sensitive and proprietary, so protection against unauthorized distribution of them is paramount. Do I Need Telephone or Remote Access Technical Support?

CrypKey is dedicated to ensuring that all customers resolve their support issues as quickly as possible. Sometimes, trading e-mails for three or four days does not resolve the problem and creates frustration for CrypKey and our customer. While online technical support is efficient for simple and quickly-resolved issues, it is not the best solution for more complex challenges. When a support issue cannot be resolved with a simple e-mail message, we prefer to assist our customer on the phone, or remotely access the customer's computer. Direct communication technical support ensures that issues are addressed quickly and effectively, which enables you to keep selling your software with minimal interruption. 

CrypKey Annual Subscriptions offer three levels of technical support: Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Gold and Platinum CrypKey Annual Subscription customers have access to a toll-free number that puts them directly in touch with a member of our technical support team. Casper Server Host — Now Available

Casper (CrypKey Automated Software Purchase and Electronic Registration) is a software security system that enables software manufacturers to automate and secure the distribution and licensing of their products. It also handles customer payment processing. This innovative e-commerce copy protection solution includes many new enhancements (available in build 227), including:

• HTML Messages: Reply messages from Casper can now be in HTML format.

What version are you using? The current version for Casper is 2.0; build 227 encompasses all the latest technology and upgrades available. Effective November 30, 2006 , CrypKey will no longer support Casper 1X. If you are still using Casper 1X, please contact our technical support team to determine a transition plan for upgrading your software.

CrypKey 5.7

With the pending release of CrypKey 7, we will no longer support version 5.7. This change will be effective October 1, 2006 . To ensure a smooth transition of your protected application(s), please contact technical support to discuss an implementation strategy that's best for you. We also advise customers to download the new CrypKey 7 (when available) instead of attempting to upgrade version 5.7, due to the vast changes in the technologies between versions.
