Casper BlackBox
The most exciting new CrypKey product to date is Casper BlackBox,
an e-commerce solution that provides the ultimate in automated
integrated software protection.
Probably the most innovative option in automated software copy
protection and license management today, Casper BlackBox is simply
a very small computer, significantly smaller than a notebook computer.
It connects to your network and is pre-configured to provide worry-free
copy protection and license management seven days a week.
Available in eRegister or eCommerce, Casper BlackBox combines
CrypKey's proven copy protection with the popular Casper e-commerce
solution, which automates transaction authorization and verifies credit
card or prepaid serial number processing--and the hardware to run it.
Casper BlackBox eRegister provides verification with serial numbers
and Casper BlackBox eCommerce verifies credit card purchases before
authorizing a CrypKey-protected product.
Casper BlackBox not only costs less than employing a customer
service representative, it allows you to customize your protection
to both sell and market your software. It's simple. All you need to
do is plug in Casper BlackBox... and let CrypKey do the rest.

Keeping CrypKey Current
At CrypKey, we are constantly improving products to provide the best security
and reliability possible. Keep your product up to date with the latest CrypKey
release. To minimize the effort required to distribute CrypKey changes to your
clients. Simply distribute the CrypKey engine file and CrypKey License service.
An updated engine file (crp32001.ngn) contains all the relevant fixes, and you
can easily provide the updated file to your customers. In addition, regardless
of the version of CrypKey you use, always distribute the most current NT Driver
(CrypKey License Service) files - setupex.exe and cks.exe. The CrypKey License
Service is fully backwards compatible with older versions of CrypKey, and using
the most recent version will ensure maximum compatibility with current operating
systems and service packs.
Please note the recent CrypKey security patch requires that you recompile your program.
When in doubt about what is required to distribute an update, please feel free to
contact CrypKey Support.

Getting the most out of CrypKey Technical Support
CrypKey Technical Support wants to make your support experience as simple and fast
as possible. We are currently reviewing our internal support system in order to
improve our services and processes to deliver the best value to you. Our current
support policy is to provide a response within 24 hours and all support is done by
email unless otherwise requested.
Technical Support is available from 8:00am - 5:00pm MST, Monday to Friday. CrypKey
offers three methods of support: email, telephone, and by remote PC connections.
Email support is included with your CrypKey Annual Subscription. Telephone and remote
PC connections are paid priority services available upon request.
In addition, there are some self-help resources that you can use to resolve your
problems as quickly as possible. Here are some tips we recommend for making the
best use of our support resources to save you time and money.
1) First, always check our Top Issues web page to see if the problem you are having
is on the list. The URL for the top issues is:
http://www.crypkey.com/support/knowldge/topissues/topmain.html
2) Search our online database. Tip: Enter a space to get a full list of issues
3) When requesting Technical Support, please include the .ckn file along with your
Company information, and details about the problem you are having.
4) Please read responses carefully, answering all questions and providing all
information required. Often a support issue drags on because we are not provided
with the information or answers we need.
As our subscribers, we respect your privacy and will never make our mailing list publicly accessible.
Thanks for reading and have a great day!
