CrypKey (Canada) Inc. launched the original CrypKey Instant and CrypKey SDK protections in 1992.

CrypKey Instant and CrypKey SDK 6.1 were released in 2003 to support additional hard disk storage configurations and offer increased individualization or customization of security functions.

CrypKey Instant 6.1 and CrypKey SDK 6.1 feature industry-first HDSN "CloneBuster" technology to avert hard drive copying.
