CrypKey ASP is an advanced user-management application with a web-based interface. It licenses and controls active server page (ASP) web content from unauthorized and illegal use. CrypKey ASP easily integrates with your ASP application by adding a small amount of code.

Before users can view an application that is managed using CrypKey ASP, they must obtain authorization from you. You provide authorization for a specific intranet location. CrypKey ASP controls the number of intranet users that have simultaneous access to your application (i.e., network seats).

CrypKey ASP enables you to use any web editor, including FrontPage, Macromedia DreamweaverMX, UltraDev, GoLive, Homesite, Pagemill, Hotdog, and NotePad. The pages you protect using CrypKey ASP are edited in the usual way with your editor of choice.

CrypKey ASP's proven backbone offers three levels of protection :

1.	CrypKey ASP Code — simply paste this into each page of your ASP application; it recognizes when the application is in use and initiates the control communication with other system components
2.	AxtiveX Control — VeriSign®-signed ActiveX control that is downloaded to the client computer when the ASP application is initiated; it implements the CrypKey ASP application control and ensures it operates only when authorized
3.	CrypKey ASP License Manager — resides anywhere on the intranet and keeps track of the application authorizations and number simultaneous of uses; it includes tools for your users to input and monitor license information, and communicates this data to the AxtiveX component

Implementation is easy.

CrypKey ASP is implemented in two simple steps:

1.	Insert the CrypKey ASP code into each application server page.
2.	Modify the install to add CrypKey ASP's redistributable components.

CrypKey ASP's licensing features include:

• options and levels — allows you to manage users based on their level of access
• authorization — the Site Key Generator (SKG) allows you to license the CrypKey-protected ASP application with the restrictions you require
• use limited — allows you to specify license usage for a number of uses
• day limited — allows you to specify license usage for a number of days
• node lock — allows a single product to be licensed to a single workstation
• enterprise network features — license not only a stand-alone computer that an application is installed on, but also the entire
• enterprise network; a software license can be accessed by any network computer
• redundant servers — supports an unlimited number of redundant servers
• license server control and flexibility — allows you to specify the number of network seats and identify domains, computers, and users that can or cannot use a particular license
• license client flexibility — the licensed client machine finds a license anywhere on the network; allows you to set a priority list of servers to check when searching for a license
• dynamic server — allows you to set up a priority list of servers to check for a license
• smart server — figures out which server is available immediately for connection, and quickly reconnects to the server if there is a server hiccup
• server balancing — directs the client to the least busy server and can quickly connect to another server if the current one crashes
